This week we are delighted to announce that our coliving development Westpoint, has been recognised at the first-ever European Coliving Awards.
Awarded with an honourable mention in the Impact and Sustainability category, Head Judge Matthew Lesniak – Head of Impact and Innovation at Conscious Coliving, commented, “Westpoint clearly embeds elements of environmental sustainability into the building design and operations. Westpoint has advanced building-wide heat recovery and water management systems, high-quality fixtures and fittings, considers biodiversity net gain…”
This highly deserved accolade comes just a week after we announced our plans to expand into Newcastle – with our first coliving development outside of Manchester.
Commenting on the recognition, Beech Holdings CEO Stephen Beech added “As a developer and operator, we have always been committed to delivering properties that have sustainability built into the foundations, ensuring that the developments have operational durability, and work with the planet and not against it. There are a lot of developers who see sustainability as a buzzword, and a tick box exercise – at Beech we could not be further from that, so it is fantastic to see the team’s foresight and our pioneering approach to development recognised on a European stage. With the recent announcement of our first development outside of Manchester also making headlines, we could not be more excited about the future and continuing to innovate and lead the way in the UK co-living sector.”
