A luxury residential development for Manchester has completed ahead of schedule and is almost fully let to residents.
Beech Holdings has refurbished One Cross Street to the highest standards into a 34-unit, luxury residential apartment building.
Retaining many of its original features, the building is located in a prime position in the heart of the city.
The original site historically was a belt factory and Beech Holdings has worked alongside its sister company, Beech Design and Build, to refurbish the building, erecting an additional glass structure to the roof, adding a further two storeys.
The property has undergone full modernisation with considerable investment into sustainable technology, such as heat recovery systems, to make it as passive as possible in its emissions.
Stephen Beech, CEO of Beech Holdings, said: “We purchased this property with plans to create beautiful, sustainable apartments for Manchester students and young professionals – I’m very pleased to say that we’ve already let most of the apartments and will continue to manage this property under our own portfolio.
“Our commitment in retaining our developments demonstrates our faith in the standards of our build and quality of our fit-out. We continue to secure occupancy rates of over 97% across our portfolio, which offers our investors excellent returns, but also Manchester residents the high-quality homes that they deserve.”
Beech Holdings’ lettings arm, Manchester Apartments, will manage the building with students and young professionals moving in from the autumn academic term. This development is the 13th project delivered in the city for Beech Holdings, bringing more than 1,000 apartments to Manchester.
Beech Holdings has a history of taking on unloved buildings and regenerating them into modern, tenant-inspired homes with a strong focus on placemaking, community creation and sustainability.
The company offers an end-to-end investment service and a fully integrated offering, meaning that it promises investors and tenants a full-service operation of design, development, management, lettings and maintenance.
The company currently has more than 600 apartments and seven developments under construction with flagship projects, such as Ancoats Gardens, on Rochdale Road, and Piccadilly Warehouse, located on Bloom Street, which is one of the last remaining Grade II-listed warehouses in central Manchester.
